The Dress

Designer: Essense of Australia -- Style: D3112 -- Dress size: US 12 (my street size is usually S/6)

Modern and minimalistic from the front, but romantic and glamorous from the back- this dress is absolutely breathtaking!

The silhouette of this dress is simply elegant and beautifully designed. The material (crepe) hugs your body in all the right places and it's so unbelievably comfortable! The seams help to accentuate your natural curves, while the thickness of the material helps to create clean lines making it very slimming and smooth throughout the waist, tummy, and hip areas. I also have a small chest and found the deep V neckline to be super flattering.

The back of this dress is a true masterpiece! Gorgeous chevron beading on the straps starts at the top of the shoulders and sparkles all the way down to the low-cut back of the dress (the strap itself is still fabric though so the beads won't scratch you). The dress has a zipper closure, and fabric covered faux buttons that travel down the entire length of the dress. The train is artfully detailed with floral lace (also ivory colored) and has clear sequin throughout to give it a bit of sparkle when the light hits it just right. Another fabulous detail about the train is that the crepe and the lace are sewn together so that when you fan out the train, both fabrics move together to give you that picture perfect look every time!

PLEASE NOTE: When I tried the dress on in the store, I tried on a size 10 and it fit me perfectly everywhere except in the shoulder straps, BUT the consultant advised that I order a size up (i.e., size 12) to make room for any possible alterations that would've been needed when the time came- so please be aware that if your measurements are similar to mine, the dress being sold is a size 12 and is larger than the one you see me wearing in the pictures! According to Essense of Australia's size chart, here's how the 2 dress sizes compare:
Size 10: 36.5" bust, 28" waist, and 39.5" hip
Size 12: 38.5" bust, 30" waist, and 41.5" hip

PLEASE NOTE: there is also a very small area on the back of the dress where the stitching on the seam has come loose. I have included a picture of it, as well as shown where it is located on the dress in the video. It's less than an inch long and I believe it will be a super easy fix for any seamstress!
