The Dress

I originally tried on the colourful Iris dress but the white colouring and vibrant colours did not suit my colouring or my vision for my wedding. When I tried on Iris in ivory in April 2022, I knew straight away it was the one for me. I tried it in the Sassi Holford boutique in London on a beautifully sunny day and the way the light caught the stunning champagne coloured floral detailing took my breath away.

I got married in summer 2023 and my Iris dress was perfect. I felt like a movie star on the day.
It was the hottest day of the summer (30 degrees) and the material kept me cool and I felt very comfortable in my dress. It was so light to wear.
The bodice area is very well constructed and so there was no need to wear a bra which was great.

I am typically a UK Size 8 in dresses and my dress was Sassi Holford size 12. My bra size is 34C.
I am 154 cm (5ft1) and wore 6.5 cm (2.5 inch) heels. My dress has quite a long train as I wore the chapel veil from Britten veils and wanted the veil to finish at the same point as my dress.
The dress has both a hand loop and bustle to shorten the train so you can fully enjoy the party.

My dress has been worn once and dry cleaned by Bentley Dry cleaners (specialist wedding dry cleaner). It has been returned hung in a coat bag but can be professionally packaged and boxed if needed.

The dress has a small tear in the inside layering which I have attached a photo of (pre-clean). Whilst this is not repairable, it is not noticeable when wearing the dress (it happened whilst I was climbing the stairs enthusiastically during the confetti shot!! and was not noticeable for the rest of the day).

Alterations

Some alterations made at bust and on long sleeves.
The length of dress was taken up. I am 154 cm (5ft 1 inches) and wore a (6.5cm) 2.5inch heel. The dress just touched the floor so that I was able to walk in it.
