The Dress

This wedding gown is simply stunning! If you are looking for a graceful gown with an ethereal silhouette and draping accents, you will love this dress. This gown is made of silk charmeuse layers (dress and lining), and has a fabulous Grecian feeling to it. The low swooping back adds just the right amount of drama, while the elegant draping and layering give this gown such a romantic, sophisticated, and feminine look. It has a beautiful chapel train, which can be easily buttoned into a bustle for dancing. This dress is light weight and soft, and feels just as wonderful on as it looks. I loved how natural and graceful it was to move in the dress.

This gown is timeless, can be worn for a wedding in any season. It was perfect for my January wedding held in a romantic, candle-light evening ceremony and reception against the backdrop of the dramatic George Peabody Library. I paired it with a jewel broach on the waist ‘side tie’ and a jeweled feather hair accessory for a slight vintage vibe, and added a fur jacket for outside winter photos.

Alterations included 1) shortening the hem to fit my height (5' 3" + 3" height heels worn on wedding day); and 2) replacement of original 'tie' on right shoulder with a knot to match the exact knot located on the left shoulder.
